The main characteristics of saami language position in Murmansk region of Russia are ethnic minorities, absence of titled language status, insignificant or left behind the times language activity and education policy concerning saami ethnic group. Kola saami speak four dialects: nothozyor, babinskiy, yokangskiy and kildin. Intensive study of Kola saami language began at the end of the XIXth century. The loss of saami language is a vital problem which worries everyone. Ethnic group stability is defined not only by language possibility to reflect all the ways of people's life, but in degree any language functions in different social groups of population as well.
