The paper considers the principal social outcomes of the republic's economic development since 1998: the level and dynamics of salaries and monetary income of people, its structure and ratios for types of economic activities. The main focus is on the pre-crisis trend of the parameters, since statistics from 2009–2010 reflect the effect of the «worst» phase of the economic cycle. The main method chosen for analysis of the available statistical data is comparison of the set of regional and average national indices.
