Keywords: safety, controlled semi-Markov process with accidents, homogeneous Markov randomized control strategy, reliability, non-failure operation, maintainability, incomplete information.
The model of a controlled semi-Markov process with accidents is investigated as applied to a safety problem. The characteristics (indicators) of safety are introduced. A mathematical model is used to analyze the safety characteristics of the technical system responsible for the security of the facility (information, premises, etc.) The relationship between the reliability characteristics (non-failure operation and operability) and the safety characteristics is investigated. The situation of choice of the optimal control strategy given incomplete information about the reliability characteristics of a system is analysed.
