We studied Pb2+ and EDTA effects on the growth of axial organs, leaf area, metal tolerance, superoxide generation rate, LPO rate and APX activity in Pelargonium zonale L. seedlings. Within the investigated range of concentrations, ions of Pb2+, unlike other metals, had practically no effect on Pelargonium zonale plants. Pretreatment of Pelargonium zonale seeds with EDTA negatively affected the growth parameters and oxidative status of young plants exposed to Pb2+.
