The paper deals with qualitative analysis of the frequency of occurrence of spruce-associated aphyllophoroid fungi in the North of the Russian Plain (Arkhangelsk and Murmansk Regions, Karelia and Komi Republics). The distribution of the fungi across the regions, their ecomorphological adaptations and geographical patterns are shown and analysed. It was concluded that the regional aphyllophoroid mycotas are closely related, and that a spruce substrate can be a fairly rich source for further findings of the biodiversity in the Russian North.
