The paper deals with qualitative analysis of the frequency of occurrence of spruce-associated aphyllophoroid fungi in the North of the Russian Plain (Arkhangelsk and Murmansk Regions, Karelia and Komi Republics). The distribution of the fungi across the regions, their ecomorphological adaptations and geographical patterns are shown and analysed. It was concluded that the regional aphyllophoroid mycotas are closely related, and that a spruce substrate can be a fairly rich source for further findings of the biodiversity in the Russian North.
