The opinions of several FinnoUgric linguists and historians about the necessity and feasibility of creating single literary languages for individual Uralic nations of Russia are studied. Ways and means of blending modern Mordvin (Moksha and Erzya) literary languages into a common Mordvin literary language are suggested.
