Zoogeographic distribution of 556 species of Mycetophilidae occurring in Russian Karelia has been analyzed. The prevalence of widely distributed Holarctic, Transpalaearctic and Euro-Siberian species in the local fauna is stated. Remarkable records of species known previously from remote areas are discussed and wider distribution of many species recorded up to now from single localities in certain regions of Palaearctic is suggested.
