It was shown that an extract from the needle biomass of 10-year-old Pinus sylvestris, containing different doses of L-arginine, had a positive effect on the viability, growth and development of weakened mink kits. The addition of the extract of pine needles to the diet in optimal doses maintains a high level of non-specific defense reactions and activates of bone marrow hematopoiesis.
