The scheme of n-dimensional permutations with k cycles is studied in different areas of enumerative combinatorics. This includes direct enumeration of the outcomes of the scheme with a given discipline of their numbering, finding their numbers, establishing the one-to-one correspondence of the types of outcomes with their numbers, termed the direct and inverse numbering problem, and modelling of the outcomes of the scheme.
