Дополнение к флоре мхов национального парка «Воттоваара» (Республика Карелия)
Boychuk M.A. An addition to the moss flora of the Vottovaara National Park (Republic of Karelia) // Transactions of Karelian Research Centre of Russian Academy of Science. No 3. Biogeography. 2026. Pp. 136-141
Keywords: bryoflora; species; new records; protected area; Republic of Karelia
The Vottovaara National Park (area - 140.59 km2) was established in 2023 and has so far been poorly studied from the bryology perspective. The park consists of three clusters (Mount Vottovaara, Lake Pisanets, and Ahvi - Varguno - Piro Mountains), the natural environments of which are briefly described in this article. The moss flora surveys that the author conducted in all three clusters in 2025 revealed 36 previously unrecorded species. An annotated list of the newly identified species is provided. With the addition of these new taxa, the moss flora of the Vottovaara National Park amounts to 124 species.
Most of the moss species are widespread in Karelia. As for rare species listed in the Red Data Book of the Republic of Karelia (2020), one species (Grimmia ramondii) with category 3 (NT) is known for the park.
