The article summarized author’s own materials covering the period from 2003 to 2024, data from herbarium (SYKO) and literature regarding the composition of mosses and liverworts in natural mires of the flatland part of the Komi Republic. The bryoflora inventory revealed 204 taxa, including 134 species of mosses and 66 liverworts. Among them, 16 species are rare and in need of protection. A taxonomic, chorological, and ecological analysis of the identified bryoflora was performed, providing new insights into the distribution, ecology, and plant-community affiliations of many taxa of mosses and some liverworts. The core of the bryoflora is boreal hygrophiles with extensive distribution ranges, and the ecological structure is aligned with the hydrological regime and characteristics of the water and mineral nutrition of the main types of mires. The results also show that the studied bryoflora is quite similar to other boreal mire bryofloras. The study revealed the composition and features of five ecotope-specific bryofloras corresponding to the main types of mires: fens, transitional mires, aapa mires, raised bogs, and palsa mires. The most significant species have been identified for each of them, and information about their cenotic occurrence is provided. One of the most specialized bryofloras is that of palsa mires, where the flora composition reflects its northern location. The poorest, but at the same time the most discrete, is the bryoflora of raised bogs: more than 70 % of its constituent species are typical mire residents. Fens are the richest in mosses and liverworts due to their water and mineral nutrition regime, pronounced microtopographic patterns, and diversity of substrates. The bryoflora of aapa and transitional mires consists of species that constantly occur also in other ecotopes. Only several species can be called specialists, e.g., Sphagnum fallax for transitional mires and S. papillosum for aapa.
