The field work for the new inventory of the flora of the Utrish Strict Nature Reserve started in 2021 was continued in June 2025. The most remarkable discovery was Erigeron strigosus Muhl. ex Willd., previously unknown for the flora of the Caucasus. The presence of Polygonum rurivagum Jord. ex Boreau, known for the Caucasus only from the collections made in 1916, was also confirmed. The following species are reported for the Northwestern Caucasus for the first time: Avena trichophylla K. Koch, Bromus japonicus subsp. anatolicus (Boiss. & Heldr.) Pénzes, and Fraxinus excelsior subsp. coriariifolia (Scheele) A. E. Murray. Most species newly recorded for the Reserve have previously been known from its vicinity. A widespread occurrence of Quercus calcarea Troitsky within the Reserve, as well as its hybrids with Q. petraea (Matt.) Liebl. and Q. pubescens Willd., was also noted. Based on a preliminary assessment incorporating literature data, materials from previous years, and the current research, the flora of the Utrish Reserve comprises 1,026 species.
