In 1977–1980, 254 nests of the Pied Flycatcher situated in nest boxes were examined in the «Kivach» strict nature reserve. Data of the timing of breeding, clutch size and breeding performance are provided for the species. Reasons for seasonal variability of the clatch size and factors influencing breeding success are analyzed.
