Keywords: Triticum aestivum L., proteolytic enzymes, tripsin inhibitor, abscisic acid, cytokinin.
We studied the effect of exogenous hormones – abscisic acid (ABA) and cytokinin (in the form of its synthetic analog 6-benzylaminopurine), on the activity of proteolytic enzymes and tripsin inhibitor in the leaves of wheat seedlings exposed to low hardening temperature (5°С). The increase in plant cold resistance induced by ABA and cytokinin exposure was closely connected with considerable changes in the activity of amidases and cysteine proteinases, as well as the inhibitor of tripsin.
